Jessica swept the 2024–2025 awards season for her role as Martha in the Netflix limited series Baby Reindeer. The seven-part series, based on Richard Gadd’s Olivier Award-winning show about his real-life experience of being stalked, became a global phenomenon and received widespread critical acclaim. For her performance, Jessica won an Emmy, Golden Globe, Critics’ Choice Award, Independent Spirit Award, SAG Award and BAFTA TV Award.
Jessica’s upcoming work includes Steven Soderbergh’s feature The Christophers, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and will be released in April, George Jaques’ sophomore feature Sunny Dancer, and Marc Forster’s Anxious People, opposite Angelina Jolie.
She will also be seen starring as Dame Washalot in the forthcoming adaptation of Enid Blyton’s The Magic Faraway Tree.
Previous film credits include the Golden Globe and BAFTA-nominated feature Pride (Pathé), in which she played Siân James. On television she starred as Diane Pemberley in the hit BBC comedy The Outlaws.
Other screen credits include White Heat, What Remains, Inside No. 9 (BBC), Back (Channel 4), Prime Suspect 1973 (ITV), Victoria Wood’s That Day We Sang (BBC), Law & Order: UK (ITV), Peter Kosminsky’s The State (Channel 4), Trollied (Sky One), Fortitude (Sky Atlantic) and Doctor Who.
On stage, Jessica appeared opposite Cate Blanchett as Mrs Jewkes in the National Theatre production of When We Have Sufficiently Tortured Each Other. Her other theatre credits include Much Ado About Nothing and Major Barbara for the National Theatre.
